UPHILL BATTLE

This post is still about Jogja by the way. Feeling like still need more holiday instead of back to this reality (sorry) lol. One of my favorite destination is Kebun Buah Mangunan. This is actually a peak of the hill where you can see an amazing view of the sky and hills. The green, blue, and white are become one. It is freaking awesome tho. Yet none beautiful thing comes without any effort. And yess the way to reach this peak is so tiring.

Jessie J in her song Masterpiece says

Uphill battle I look cool when I climb,

I’m ferocious, precocious, I get braggadocios

I’m not gonna stop, I like the view for the top

But actually it isn’t easy as that. The way was  pretty extreme up and down. You can slowly descend down a steep which makes you to always hold your brake on till your hand hurt.  And you need to pull your pedal up for a blind corner that has to be approached with caution. The curve veer also waits to be passed with a full care. It was a complete package for an extraordinary way lol. The struggle was even added by the hot weather, the sun was too kind to expose its light then.

And what make it worse? We were lost in nowhere lol. You know the map stopped working and the signal was too suck. We needed to turn around for some kilometers to find the right way. Our gasoline was about to run out, but luckily we could find it immediately. Sun bathing and became tanning were on point.

I went to this place with my friends and using 2 motor bicycle. It was actually a drama, I mean not everyone can survive in this kind of situation with smile, some of them were in mad. And I see some perspectives in this situation

.

First, the friend that always cursing along the way, saying “What the….it is freaking hot”, “D*mn this way is too dangerous”, “H*ll I don’t suppose to be here”. She kept wearing frown in her face and saying tired all day long. And even when finally we reached the peak she kept saying “I don’t even know what I am doing here, it is such a wasting”. She was too busy for complaining.

And second is the other friend who enjoying the way and the view. She got amazed with the view on the way and happily said “What an awesome! I never saw this kind of view before, it is too relaxing”. Then she put her hands up to feel the wind blows and screamed loudly. She even said, “Let’s turn on the song, I need a soundtrack to enjoy this view haha”. And when approaching the peak she was busy taking picture of the view and sitting down for some minutes to observe the view carefully.

Let’s say the way on the hill is the challenge which stands in front of us, so I can conclude there are two types of people when they are facing a challenge:

First is the one that focus on the challenge and blame everything

Second is the one that focus on the process and the good thing that surround us

So which type are we in?
